PRIDE Foster/Adoptive Parent Pre-Service Training
Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education (PRIDE) is a model for the development and support of resource families (foster and adoptive families). More resource families are needed to provide assistance to the abused, abandoned and/or neglected children and struggling families of our Florida Keys community. Wesley House Family Services recruits, trains, and supports resource families for Monroe County children who can no longer remain safely in their own homes and who do not have relatives able to care for them.
The next PRIDE pre-service training course for potential foster and adoptive families begins on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. The course will be held every Tuesday evening at the Tavernier Office (175 Wrenn Street, Tavernier) from 6:00 - 9:00 PM and will extend through November 2, 2010. This course is required to become a licensed foster parent and/or adoptive parent. If you would like more information about attending, please contact Wesley House Family Services at (305) 809-5000 and ask to speak to Molly McAteer.
