Wesley House Family Services  receives funding from and partners with the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe for these services.

Monitoring of Child Care Program Environment

Once per year, Wesley House staff monitor contracted programs; focusing on the quality relationships and the availability of opportunities for:

  • Interactions between child and teacher
  • The physical environment of the home or facility
  • Program planning and daily activities
  • Opportunities for gross and fine motor development
  • Language development
  • Discovery and sensory experiences
  • Creative experiences
  • Imaginative play
  • Outdoor play
  • Health and hygiene
  • Nutrition and mealtime
  • Business practices

Results of the monitoring are used by Wesley House Provider Services staff members to develop work plans for individual Centers and Family Day Care Homes to enhance the quality of services for all children. To get a copy of the monitoring tool, please click on any link below.
