Child Care Financial Assistance

Child Care Services staff work with parents and guardians to educate them about quality child care available in Monroe County.  Financial assistance is available to eligible families to help pay the cost of care for low income families or at-risk children, including those in foster care.  Eligible parents pay a small fee based on their income and Wesley House pays the provider the remainder. Referrals for child care and community organizations that promote family self-sufficiency are free.

These services are available in our Key West, Marathon and Tavernier offices either by appointment, walk-in, phone or fax.  These services enable parents to work, continue their education, take part in training programs and remain self-sufficient, productive members of their community.

One of our qualified staff will work with you to explain the types of child care available in your area, and to determine your specific needs.  To make an appointment, please call 305.809.5000.

Eligibility for financial assistance is based on family size and gross income.  Six weeks' worth of paycheck stubs and documentation family size must be provided to see if you qualify.
