Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect Minimize

Neglect may be defined as abandonment, denial of proper care and attention physically, emotionally, or morally, or living under conditions, circumstances or associations injurious to a child's well-being.

As a member of the Wesley House team, foster parents are expected to report child abuse whenever abuse of a child has been observed or is suspected, or when there is evidence of neglect, knowledge of an incident, or perceived imminent risk of harm to a child.

Reports are made by calling the Florida Abuse Hotline 1 800 96 ABUSE.
