Wesley House Family Services receives funding from and partners with the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe for these services.
Inclusion of Children with Special Needs
All children are special and some need extra help to succeed. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prevents businesses, including child care centers and homes, from discrimination on the basis of disability. Our staff can provide technical assistance, behavioral observations and trainings on curriculum, social and emotional health, inclusive strategies, child development, physical health, environmental adaptation and how to access inclusion resources. Our Inclusion Specialist is available to meet with child care providers and parents and to provide technical assistance and training. Resources are available to help teachers improve childrens' scores on screenings and assessments.
Wesley House sponsors a special phone line or "Warm Line" that child care providers can call to get basic information and resources regarding children with disabilities and special health care needs. Warm Line: 877-595-5437
