Services for Child Care Providers

Wesley House Family Services partners with and receives funding through the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe to help families find quality child care throughout Monroe County.  How do parents find out about child care when a new baby is born, maternity leave is over, and they have to return to work?

Wesley House staff are here to educate and guide parents/guardians through the exploration process; let them know what's out there; and help them recognize and choose quality child care that is right for their child.

Staff work closely with providers and keep a database of all the legal child care in Monroe County.  We update our information frequently, which is filled with details including program location, hours of operation, rates and fees, meal options, curriculum used, qualifications of staff and much more.

Early learning child care is not babysitting.  It should be a quality learning experience for the  child, no matter what age.

Wesley House staff work closely with child care providers to ensure that they maintain their legal status; use developmentally appropriate curriculum; and follow the state statutes required in the classroom.

We also work to make sure that there are enough child care programs to serve all the children in our community, so recruitment of new programs and retention of teachers are very important.
