Congratulations to Josiah, 2, who was adopted by his foster parents after 26 months in the dependency system in mid-October. It’s been a long road for him after spending the first six weeks of his life in the hospital.
"He continues to amaze those who know him with his daily progress," said Wesley House Adoption Supervisor Lindsey Betterman. "Thank you to those who helped ensure the safety and well-being of Josiah along the way and especially to our Family Support team, who provided him and his foster parents with so much love and support with his special needs."
We love Parrot Heads! Members of the Sarasota Bay Parrot Head Club dropped off a $1,000 donation for the Healthy Family program today. Their annual “Bloody Mary Brunch” benefits Wesley House and takes place Friday, Nov. 2 starting at 9:30 a.m. at Smokin' Tuna Saloon. during the annual Parrot Head Meeting of the Minds weekend in Key West.
