Help Keep Healthy Families Monroe
Here for Families.

Watch the video above to see the true impact of Healthy Families Monroe.

Healthy Families Monroe is facing a critical funding challenge — and we need our community to step up now.

Recent State and Monroe County budget cuts have created a $90,000 funding gap, putting this essential program at risk. Without additional community support, the services families have relied on for more than 30 years could be reduced.

Your gift today can help keep Healthy Families Monroe going.

For more than three decades, Healthy Families Monroe has provided free, voluntary home-visiting services to expectant parents and families with young children throughout the Florida Keys. Administered by Wesley House Family Services, the program walks alongside families from pregnancy through a child’s fifth birthday—providing encouragement, education, resources, and practical support when families need it most.

What Your Support Makes Possible

Our Family Support Specialists meet families where they are, providing:

  • Weekly in-home visits
  • Child development education
  • Developmental screenings
  • Health and safety guidance
  • School readiness activities
  • Positive parenting support
  • Connections to vital community resources

These aren’t simply services. They are opportunities to help parents build stronger families and give children the healthy start they deserve.

Each year, Healthy Families Monroe supports over a hundred parents and approximately 200 children during the most critical years of early childhood development.

One parent shared:

“Lila has been the best Family Support worker; she has always helped me with everything and earned the trust and respect of my family and me. She made me feel comfortable with the Healthy Families program, and since then it has been the best experience.”

We Need Your Help Today

Healthy Families is one of the nation’s most researched and proven home-visiting programs. Families who participate experience stronger parent-child relationships, reduced parental stress, improved child development, and greater school readiness. Most importantly, 99% of children enrolled in Healthy Families remain free from abuse and neglect.

State funding covers only a portion of the program’s cost. Healthy Families Monroe must raise at least 25% of its funding from local and private sources to continue serving families throughout Monroe County.

Right now, that need is greater than ever.

We have a $90,000 gap to fill—and we need our community to help close it.

A gift of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000 or whatever you can give today will help ensure Family Support Specialists can continue showing up for parents and children across the Florida Keys.

Please don’t wait. Give today to help keep Healthy Families Monroe strong and available to the families who depend on it.

Your Gift Can Help Keep Families Strong.

Donate today. Help us close the $90,000 gap and ensure Healthy Families Monroe can continue its vital work.

Every family deserves support. Every child deserves a healthy start. And together, we can help make sure Healthy Families Monroe is here for them.
